About Me

Thank you for stopping by.  Let me tell you a little about myself….

I am a lover of nature, gardening, flowers , photography, reading, and movies that make you feel good.  I love period films and books, especially Jane Austin inspired.  I prefer an eclectic style, with a passion for vintage, thrift store finds, and shabby chic.  Basically, anything that is welcoming and comfy works for me.  I absolutely love the art of Mary Engelbreit and Kelly Rae Roberts.  Mary makes me happy, and Kelly Rae makes me look deeper, ponder and smile.

Doing something creative is a necessity in my life.  Whether planting a new flower in the garden, getting my hands full of paint, dreaming as I look through a magazine, re-decorating the house (actually, moving stuff around the house), organizing and writing my thoughts down, or taking a walk and bringing the camera along (you never know when you’ll see something that speaks to you), creativity feeds my soul.  It is the essence of who I am.

What is my ideal day?  Well it depends on the day and the weather.  If it is cool and rainy, a good movie with my daughter in front of a fire is superb.  If it is a day on my own, or with my good friend, visiting nurseries, thrift stores, antique shops, and a leisurely lunch is truly delightful.  If I need some time to myself, a quick trip to the beach, just sitting in my yard, relaxing and reading, a trip to the cabin and sitting by the lake, or working on a SoulCollage card is lovely and restorative.

I am quiet, passionate about being a mother and role model, love to laugh, believe there is too much out in our world that provokes violence and hatred, and pretty much strive to create a welcoming, happy, and peaceful life for myself and my family and friends.
